"Link layer may optionally support multiple state machine" what is mean by this? Please elaborate this statement. Generally each state machine in Link layer supports 1 connection. So If we want to establish more than one connection then we need more than one state machine in link layer. That is why SIG has this statement "LL may optionally support multiple state machine". And it also has some conditions or restrictions to use multiple state machines. see attachment for these conditions. Attachments:
