What is the difference between broadcasting and advertising .....with their usage .... Broadcasting is transmitting the data to all the slaves simultaneously using Advertising channels. It doesn't require connection between the transmitter and receiver. As, the transmission in this case will not be acknowledged, chances of error is more. Thats why same data is broadcasted multiple times. Basically, it is using advertising events for transmitting the data in connectionless manner. Read page # 339 of BLE SIG document for more info. What is the difference between broadcasting and advertising .....with their usage .... Hello Mohit, If we see in a general term , advertising and broadcasting are interlinked. Broadcast advertising is used when we have a very wide audience. Example : TV. As the name implies, you are casting your message to a broad audience. Narrowcasting is to target your audience so that your advertising isn't wasted on people who would have no interest in your product or service. Example : magazine advertising, which narrowly targets the market based on the person who would read a particular specialty magazine.
