Does Bluetooth SIG covers all practically possible scenarios or profiles or is there any application for which profile is not provided by SIG and if yes then can we create one?

Hello Srishtansh,
As Bluetooth Low Energy is new in the market there are not many profiles has been adopted by SIG.So there can be many practical use cases of bluetooth low energy, but there are only 11 profiles has been adopted by SIG and they are looking forward to it.
Yes, you can create your own profile but to make it interoperable with other vendor devices, first you have to get approved your profile by SIG.
Thanks

Why SIG certification is important if you are making any vendor specific profile using BLE stack and wants to launch in market without SIG certification, then is their any problem with that. As my profile is working fine and my client is ready to launch it then WHY SIG?
