Are there any limitations of using low power consumption and coin cell battery operation ? If yes, then, please specify them..

Are there any limitations of using low power consumption and coin cell battery operation ? If yes, then, please specify them.. well i guess you mean classical bluetooth and bluetooth low energy ... well as BLE technology is new ,there are very few limitation or very few notified till now.... The only limitation i found is : Bluetooth low energy technology enables new applications and is ideal for applications requiring episodic or periodic transfer of small amounts of data. In a Bluetooth application where streaming data( like listening to music , watching videos ,etc) is used, Classic Bluetooth technology is the preferred choice as it achieves substantially greater throughput than Bluetooth low energy technology.

Hello Anamika
Yes there is a limitation of using Low energy Bluetooth device like you cann't transmit large data. Bluetooth low energy is good for only small data transmission because the receiver of Bluetooth low energy System on for very small time !!

Hello Mukesh, As per my understanding, Data transfer rates with Classic Bluetooth technology using enhanced data rate (Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR) can exceed 2 Mb/s (actual payload), but practical transfer rates for Bluetooth low energy technology are below 100 kb/s (actual payload of roughly 1/20). Therefore, streaming Bluetooth low energy connections will lose a great deal of the huge potential power savings as the utilization approaches continuous transmission.
